Musicians, like Dolly Parton and Porter Wagoner, would testify to the efficacy of snake oils like Black-Draught, which was really just a simple laxative. In another word, "micro-influencers." I get the feeling that large scale influencers have lost their appeal to a degree and therefore, their effectiveness, at selling a product, idea or look. I base this not just on intuition, but on my experience working with influencers at Playboy and my own experience as a micro-influencer for brands like Parade and Topicals. The lower your followers, generally, the higher your engagement rate and the amount of "meaningful" engagement.
